Lead
vocalist
Erika
has been
singing since the age of three.
In
1989 Erika signed with Taj
Records (a division of Motown)
as a lead vocalist in the all-girl
R&B group, Genteel. In 1991,
Erika was named “L.A.’s most
talented teen” and she later went on
to study theater arts.
Erika is also a talented
vocal impressionist, which makes
each performance with Uncle Boogie
something very special.
In addition to being a lead
singer and keyboardist for Uncle
Boogie, former radio personality
Jon St. John
is also a well known voice
actor.
His voice is heard daily on
radio and TV stations around the
world, not only on commercials,
but as the stations' "imaging"
voice.
Jon is also known
internationally as the voice of
the iconic video game hero -
DUKE NUKEM!
Uncle Boogie's "lead" man is
accomplished guitarist -
Jeff

JJ is also co-owner of one of San

Audio Design
www.audiodesign.us
which means that Uncle Boogie
can always provide the very best
sound and lighting systems for
our performances.
Native San Diegan,
Andrea
has been
a fixture on the San Diego Music
scene since the
1980’s. Singing with groups
such as “Toys”, “Kicks”, “The
Sound Doctor’s” and the “The Ravelle’s” - a Motown Revue
group.
While her favorites are
songs from the Motown era, she
enjoys singing everything from
Country to Jazz.
Andrea
inherited her love of music from
her father who sang in Big Band
Groups in the 40’s, and from her
mother who is an accomplished
pianist.
Uncle
Boogie's drummer and leadvocalist
J.L.
Hotel
didn’t just learn to play by just
banging on drums in the garage, he
attended and graduated from the
highly esteemed Percussion
Institute of Technology-Hollywood
in 1992 and is an outstanding player.
Along with his
remarkable drumming, his upbeat,
outgoing personality makes him one
of this band’s shining stars.
-A virtuoso
performer,
Paavo Laird
brings the Key-tar
to the forefront of our live sound
with solos that have our audiences
applauding!
Paavo has been
performing with San Diego area bands
such as Nemesis and Huge
Rooster for many years, and now
brings his remarkable talents to
UNCLE BOOGIE
Terry Wardell
- the guy who adds
the “low end” to Uncle Boogies’
sound. Terry especially
enjoys playing in this band because
he is now able to perform with his
brother – drummer JL Hotel.
Terry has been singing and
playing since the age of
thirteen, and has certainly paid
his dues, from smokey clubs and
county fairs, to large halls and
festival stages.
Terry has played bass for every kind of
band from Rock, to Jazz, to
Punk; he was also a member of the
Rock-a-Billy band “Free
Range Fritz”. But Uncle
Boogie is his favorite band to
